Da Vince Code
This book is a great mystery and is interesting in some facts written about Da Vinci, his artwork, and the Louvre. The way Dan Brown writes is brilliant in that he blends truth with his imagination and leaves one trying to decipher fact from fiction. It would have been interesting for me to be in a book club at this time discussing the different views from other readers. There is no proof of his allegations written in the Da Vinci Code and that is what I went away with. Being Catholic, I can see why all the controversy surrounds this book, but it hasn't changed the views on my faith. There was only one line in this book that brought tears to my eyes. It was when the bishop realized the wrong that he did and told Silas that "forgivness is the greatest gift from God and to just pray".

It was a good book. I agree, I wish I could have read it with a book club. I think the book helped me strengthen my faith because it made me rationalize why I believed what I did, rather than just accepting it.

I have seen a documentary on that book! It was really interesting! There is a lot of controversey surrounding it, but as G.K. Chesterton says, "I believe in getting into hot water; it keeps you clean."-G.K. Chesterton

I'm Catholic too. I will look into this book. Sounds like there is a lot of food for thought. Have you seen The Passion Of The Christ? What did you think? I was overwhelmed with the love and the message. Prayer is wonderful thing and I do a lot of it!
ooooooooooh I'm in the middle of reading this book too! I love it. He has a great imagination. I husband would like to believe the fiction as truth though, he was raised Catholic. Not me!
